Bison or Bust! 2025 is a gravel cycling event in Chicago, IL on November 1-2, 2025. Visit the official event website for registration and full event details.

On Saturday, November 1: the B Route: National Bison Day Ride to Fermilab & Nac (80 mi, 1841 ft elevation gain), the C Route: National Bison Day Ride to Fermilab (42 mi, 541 ft elevation gain), and the A Route: National Bison Day Ride to Fermilab & Nac (140 mi, 2887 ft elevation gain). On Sunday, November 2: the Day 2 Return: National Bison Day Ride to Fermilab (70 mi, 1663 ft elevation gain). Check the route-specific weather forecasts above to plan your ride.

🔔 Hear Ye Hear Ye 🔔 By way of bipartisan act of Congress and signed by President Obama, National Bison Day (🦬) will be henceforth observed the first Saturday of every November! To celebrate this momentous occasion join a glorious mixed road & light gravel ride to two bison herds / obstinacies at Fermilab National Accelerator Laboratory and Nachusa Grasslands. Three routes are available, this is the 139 mile route.
