## Route Logistics - Total Distance: 200 km - Format: Single Loop (Start/Finish: Chatham) - Terrain: Flat to gently rolling through the St. Clair river valley and oil heritage lands. - Surface: High-quality paved roads with short scenic stretches through historic towns. - Time limit: 13.5 hours (21:30 cutoff) The Crepe 200 is the final sweet treat of the Waffle Series—a fast, flat, and heritage-rich ACP brevet. Perfect for those looking to cap off a big weekend of riding or for those seeking a smooth 200km personal best. It runs as a single loop starting and ending at the Comfort Inn in Chatham, ON. See below for other rides in the Waffle series. ## About the Ride ### The Blue Water & Black Gold Loop The Crepe 200 offers a curated tour of Ontario's industrial and natural history. Departing Chatham, the route strikes north to meet the St. Clair River. Riders will enjoy the unique experience of the St. Clair River Parkway, where the road hugs the shoreline, offering front-row seats to the massive Great Lakes freighters navigating the international border. As the route turns inland, it enters the historic "Black Gold" country. You’ll pedal through Petrolia—Canada's Victorian Oil Town—where the streets are lined with grand architecture funded by the 19th-century oil boom. Keep an eye out for the historic wooden "three-pole" derricks still standing in the fields around Oil Springs. This leg provides a fascinating glimpse into the birth of the global oil industry before the route turns south for a breezy, flat finish through the quiet farmlands back to Chatham. ## The rest of the Waffle Series: - [The Waffle 1200](https://register.randonneursontario.ca/register/waffle-1000-1000km-2026-07-16): LRM 1,200 brevet runs for the entire 90 hours of the series weekend.  - [The Waffle 1000](https://register.randonneursontario.ca/register/waffle-1000-1000km-2026-07-16): ACP 1,000km brevet starting Thursday July 16th. - [The Hotcake 300](https://register.randonneursontario.ca
