Starting from the north shore of Lake Okeechobee, this 600k route is broken into two loops. The first loop is a long, approximately 260-mile (418 km) course traveling counterclockwise around the Lake on the Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail (LOST) into Moore Haven and Clewiston, before heading south and southwest on familiar roads towards Immokalee and then turning east into Big Cypress before heading back into Clewiston and then counterclockwise again mostly on the LOST through South Bay, Pahokee, Canal Point, and Port Mayaca, before arriving back at the overnight in Okeechobee. The second loop is much shorter at only 115 miles (185 km) and travels in a clockwise loop around the Lake, mostly on the paved LOST.
