Continuing east, you will pass straight through Port Burwell on the outbound transit, keeping your momentum steady as you push to the final turnaround control point at Port Rowan. Once a bustling commercial fishing hub, Port Rowan rewards riders with spectacular, wide-open shoreline views, pleasure craft docks, and a welcoming atmosphere at the Boathouse Restaurant or Lion's Club Park. The return journey arcs back westward across fast-rolling agricultural concessions, officially drawing you into Port Burwell for its formal control stop. Randonneurs will want to pause here to absorb some of the route's finest sights, including the expanses of Port Burwell beach, the historic wooden lighthouse, and the commanding silhouette of the cold-war era submarine, the HMS Ojibway, perfectly visible right from the route.
